Kentucky Women’s Basketball Channels the Mamba with Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro PE

The Wildcats are going dancing. The Kentucky Women’s Basketball Team secured a 5 seed in this year’s March Madness bracket, and with a spot on Nike’s Kobe-specific sponsor roster, the Wildcat women are adding a bit of Mamba Mentality to their tournament run.

The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro Kentucky PE is the latest NCAA PE colorway of the latest low-top Kobe Protro, bringing the Wildcats’ white and blue home jersey colorway to the retooled Kobe retro. The colorway features white leather and TPU across the entire upper, adding Kentucky blue mesh behind the net-shaped support structure on the side panels.

A UK logo is added to the tongue of the left shoe to match the Kobe sheath logo on the right tongue, and a blue midsole with white camo-style splotches completes the PE. Nike recently made a Book 2 Kentucky PE with help from the sharp-shooting alumni behind the shoe, but this pair returns to the school’s Kobe-specific Nike deal ahead of the tournament.
