2026 has been the year of the Kobe 3 Low Protro. Kobe’s sneaker ethos was to iterate on every model by making it lighter and closer to the ground with every new installment. Staying in line with his ideals on retroing sneakers to keep them in playing shape for the modern game, the Kobe 3 Low crops the model from a high-top sneaker to a low, all while retooling the makeup. The renewed focus on the model has led to a wealth of new colorways, including a Dragon Ball-inspired PE from Jalen Brunson, a Grinch colorway, and a colorway celebrating the WNBA's 30th anniversary. The silhouette is ready for the Lake Show with its team-friendly color palette. It features a mesh base overlaid with a basketball-net-like TPU support system across its side panels. The toe cap and heel counter arrive in the same shade but in a leather makeup. Of course, you can’t have the gold without the purple, so the shade graces the midsole support and tongue. Instead of the standard shade of purple on the Swoosh, the silhouette opts for an iridescent purple on the heel. Returning to the yellow underfoot, the colorway finishes up with a translucent look. An included pair of purple laces offers the option for even more of a Lakers look.
