From his college era to his current tenure with the Houston Rockets, Kevin Durant is choosing Texas. As KD celebrates 20 years in the NBA, his older signature models continue to make a return, especially the highly regarded Nike KD 6. The Nike KD 6 reigned supreme during the era of cargo shorts and Nike Elite socks, with a myriad of memorable colorways from the PB&J to the weather-related Meteorology colorway; the KD 6 was forever cemented in the zeitgeist with Durant’s insane 2013-2014 season, where he won MVP and scoring champion. In honor of his alma mater, KD is returning to one of his most iconic silhouettes with the Nike KD 6 Texas.

Nike KD 6 Texas Details

The silhouette features a black Flywire upper that makes up the lateral side and toe and is splattered with turquoise. That same shade makes up the oversized Swoosh that stretches from the lateral toe to the heel panel and the mini Swoosh on the medial side. Also on that medial side is the University of Texas’ signature shade of burnt orange covering the midfoot and heel, while hooking the tongue too.

Additional pops of orange show up on the KD branding on the lateral heel and the twin triangles on the forefoot midsole and outsole. The sneaker concludes with a visible Air unit in the heel that takes on the teal shade instead of the school colors.
