Nike recently took its relationship with Kevin Durant to the next level by signing the Suns’ star to a lifetime contract. The deal means we can likely expect to see more models and retros across the Nike KD line, and we’re soon set to see the first retros for the Nike KD 4. First released in 2011, the KD 4 is one of the most iconic models from the series due to its low retail price and high performance on the hardwood. Following rumors of the coveted Galaxy colorway returning next year, Kicks Finder reports the Year Of The Dragon colorway will also come back with a twist.
We can confirm that the “Year Of The Dragon 2.0” KD 4 will take on a color scheme featuring khaki, noble red, sesame, cacao wow, and gum yellow. Most of the upper is doused in khaki and sesame hues with TPU reinforcing the ripstop on the base layer. For the lockdown strap, we see a woodgrain-like pattern applied with a noble red Swoosh placed on the end. Cacao wow hues hit the laces, tongue lining, and sockliner while the heel hosts the most overt nod to the Year of the Dragon. KD and Nike branding is intertwined with a graphic of a tiger, coming in sesame, while the embroidered Swoosh pops with its cacao wow finish. Underfoot sits the usual KD 4 sole unit in sesame paired with a gum yellow rubber outsole.
The Nike KD 4 Year Of The Dragon 2.0 will release in February 2024 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $130.
