Nike and Ja Morant’s relationship is holding firm despite multiple controversies plaguing the Grizzlies superstar. Following the reveal of an exciting "Halloween" rendition of the Nike Ja 1, images of the upcoming "Guava Ice Medium Soft Pink" design have also begun to circulate.
The latest addition to Morant's signature line with Nike carries a mesh, leather, and TPU upper. Guava ice lavishly adorns the leather segments of the mudguard and forefoot strap, while the TPU reinforcement on the eyestays continues in this hue. The tongue and lace set match the rest of the upper. Ja's logo is inscribed in pink on the tongue, adding a burst of color amid the black tongue tag and sockliner. Further detailing includes a pink TPU Swoosh on the midfoot that extends towards the back, blending into a blue ripstop nylon heel counter and leather heel tab. Another pop of color is provided by the red Ja branding on the heel. The white-and-black midsole and a black-and-blue outsole beneath complete the design.
The Nike Ja 1 Guava Ice Medium Soft Pink will release this holiday season through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s and grade school sizing, the retail price is set at $110 and $90, respectively.
