Wale Debuts a Wheat Timb Colorway of the Nike GT Future

Wale isn’t really a Timberland guy. Sure, the DMV’s most sneaker-obsessed rapper has probably worn his fair share of Butters, but if we had to guess Wale’s favorite non-sneaker footwear, we’d probably go with the Nike Air Max Goadome Boot…you know, the one he wrote a song about.

Wale respects every facet of footwear culture, though, and after helping Nike debut the GT Future silhouette earlier this year and entering sneaker free agency, he’s back again with a new colorway in a familiar shade of wheat. Taking clear inspiration from the Timberland 6-Inch Boot, the new GT Future preview is a perfect take on an icon.

Seen on Wale’s feet during a visit to Washington Commanders training camp, the Nike GT Future Wheat skips the Timberland ankle collar for a complete monochrome khaki vibe. A bit of black is added on the midsole and outsole, but the Swoosh, laces, and sockliner keep the same Wheat energy throughout.
