The Nike GT Future Appears in Red and Black

After debuting at NBA All-Star Weekend, the Nike GT Future has become one of Nike’s most anticipated sneakers. Since its initial spotting and teasers from Wale, AJ Dybantsa, and legendary Nike employee Frank Cooke, the pair has emerged in eight different makeups, most recently in a Metallic Orange that Wale wore to a Got Sole event in Miami. Just over a month removed from this, Frank Cooke has shared images of a new Red Black colorway.
The Hyperflight and Foamposite-inspired silhouette is rendered in the classic color palette of black and red (Bred), with most of the molded Foamposite taking on a glossy red finish. Black accents appear on the mini Swoosh along the collar, neoprene tongue, and internals. While not visible, the inside is similar to a Nike Foamposite in that an internal bootie secures your foot.
Another detail that is not visible is the tongue tag, which features an LED Swoosh placed vertically in many of the early samples. Don’t expect to see the LED lights in the retail versions of the Nike GT Future, as it’s already been confirmed that these will be exclusive to samples. Completing this red and black colorway is a black rubber outsole.
