The Nike Dunk Low has a history of receiving exclusive makeovers, particularly with the CO.JP series that took the sneaker world by storm in the late '90s and early 2000s. This Japan-exclusive series has seen numerous coveted releases, and Nike has been generous with retro revivals, including the Veneer, Ceramic, and Plum colorways. Now, Nike is set to bring back another beloved CO.JP colorway with a twist – the University Red Obsidian. This new rendition offers a fresh take on the original City Attack Dunks.
The Nike Dunk Low CO.JP University Red Obsidian features a premium leather construction with obsidian overlays and a university red underlay, providing a striking contrast. The upper is predominantly leather, except for the nylon tongue, which matches the base layer's university red shade. Obsidian laces add to the cohesive look, contrasting against the vibrant red tongue. The tongue tag also adopts this two-tone color scheme, creating a seamless design. Completing the sneaker's aesthetic is a crisp white midsole that offers a clean break from the darker tones, paired with an obsidian rubber outsole for a unified finish.
The Nike Dunk Low CO.JP University Red Obsidian will release on July 5, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $115.
