.SWOOSH x Nike ReactX Rejuven8 Slide Pack

We all need to do it, though we rarely admit it. Go and touch some grass. While this is often directed as an insult on social media or in-game chat when someone is acting way too sweaty, the message behind it is actually quite endearing. Being outside and experiencing sunlight, grass on your toes, and your eyes away from a screen does wonders for your mental and physical health. Bringing this conversation to a pair of slides is Nike’s web3 division .SWOOSH, who have given the fan-favorite ReactX Rejuven8 Slide two makeovers inspired by this phrase.

Yesterday, the .SWOOSH Instagram account posted a short teaser video showing a low-polygon field of grass with a gaming setup. The desktop PC, with a clear nod to the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller next to the monitor, displays the .SWOOSH logo, but that’s all. The official images of these two ReactX Rejuven8 Slides clearly show that the outdoor setup was no coincidence, with the ReactX foam upper covered in a graphic print of dead grass on one pair and a lush green grass on the other. Internally, the footbed of the slide is updated to now feature a faux fur finish to mimic the feeling of grass. There’s even a mouse icon of an open hand embroidered on the heel, literally showing you to touch grass. Well... maybe you don't have to actually go outside. Does this count as "touching grass?"

Since shuttering RTFKT, the brand’s luxury web3 arm, Nike has leaned heavily on .SWOOSH for its presence in online spaces like video games. Last year, the brand teamed up with Fortnite to introduce Kicks, allowing you to add Nike, Jordan, and Converse sneakers to your skins in the battle royale. Not only have we seen IRL sneakers get the virtual treatment, but IRL sneakers inspired by gaming culture. .SWOOSH launched a rage-quit-inspired pair of Total 90 IIIs in June and a few different low-polygon Air Max 1s, one inspired by Donkey Kong and another by GoldenEye.

Both .SWOOSH x Nike ReactX Rejuven8 Slides will be released on December 19, 2025 via Nike SNKRS. The Wheat pair retails for $85, while the Kelly Green rendition is priced at $75.
