Who said summer sneakers need to be all-white?
Nike is going absolutely all-out with its legendary Cortez this season. Celebrating the model's whopping 50th birthday, the Beaverton-based brand has revealed a bunch of special editions including the "Light Photo Blue" and "SNKRS Day Korea," as well as exclusive collaborations from the likes of CLOT. Now, we're taking a look at another coveted colorway with the Nike Cortez Premium "Triple Black," and it's here to give your rotation the stealthy makeover that it desperately desired.
Just like the "Velvet Brown" which we previewed earlier this month, this Cortez features an extra premium construction. Working on top of a slick nylon base, supple suede overlays wrap around the lacing system, toebox, heel, and Swoosh. "Nike" branding adorns the tongue tag and heel badge, and along the lacing system, you'll find a brushed metallic dubrae that adds to the shoe's luxury aesthetic. All of this sits on top of a slightly serrated midsole that has been decorated with contrasting white speckles for added depth, finalizing the understated design.
The Nike Cortez Premium Triple Black W is set to release sometime in Summer 2023 and will be available exclusively in women's sizes for a retail price of $100. Expected to drop at Nike and select online and in-store locations worldwide, make sure you follow Sole Retriever on Twitter and download our Mobile App for your best chance to cop!
