Celebrate SNKRS Day In Korea With This Nike Cortez

Gone were the days of standing in line at local storefronts to secure your pair or even battling through a crashing website that was riddled with errors as Nike introduced the world to the Nike SNKRS App in 2015. To celebrate this anniversary of the app that revolutionized sneaker releases and become a cultural icon, Nike likes to restock older pairs and introduce celebratory colorways in select countries - Korea being one of them. Alongside an Air Jordan 1 Low, the August celebration will also see the launch of the Nike Cortez “SNKRS Day Korea."

Following a similar color pattern to the aforementioned AJ 1 Low, the silhouette comes covered in a mixture of smooth and tumbled leather as well as patches of suede throughout its upper. On the toe and eyestays sits a grey-shaded suede that contrasts the smooth white leather that takes over most of the upper. Stark white laces and a tongue to match work together to allow the brown shades found on the Nike-branded tag above and the Swoosh logo on the midfoot to shine. Back on the heel sits a suede-covered back tab that hosts a Nike-branded graphic depicting a magpie, the national bird of Korea, while the overlay below this comes in a shade of white. Rounding out the design is the white midsole featuring a green hit near the heel paired with a rubber outsole in white.

The Nike Cortez SNKRS Day Korea 2023 is set to release on August 8th, 2023 through Nike SNKRS exclusively in Korea. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is currently TBA.
