Devin Booker Previews Suns Jersey-Inspired Book 1 Colorway

The Phoenix Suns lost Kevin Durant to the Rockets over the offseason, and in the early games of the season, that means that Devin Booker is taking on the entire weight of the team’s offense, averaging 30 points a game, over 10 more than the Suns second most prolific scorer, Dillon Brooks (oof). With that kind of stand-alone stardom in the desert, it's no surprise that Booker is lacing his Nike Book 1 signature shoe in a Valley-inspired colorway. It’s his team, he can use the colors however he wants.

The Nike Book 1 The Valley starts with a soft black nubuck covering the upper, with a white leather Swoosh popping off the side panels. The colorway brightens up on the tongue and ankle collar with a tie-dye sunset design directly cribbed from the Suns' alternate The Valley jerseys. Taking the digital camo print from this year’s uniform upgrade, the shoe combines tonal squares in blue, pink, red, orange, and yellow.

Nike introduced the Book 1 at the tail end of 2023, and Booker has been dropping new colorways of the silhouette ever since, taking inspiration from his personal life, on-court career, and Nike’s archival past. As the 2025 NBA season gets into full swing, the Book 1 is expected to give way to a new Nike Book 2 silhouette soon, and we’re already anticipating a first look.

The Nike Book 1 The Valley doesn’t have a firm release date yet, and there’s a possibility it's a PE made just for Booker, as the only photo we’ve seen so far comes directly from Book’s IG page.
