You do not want to go shoe-for-shoe with PJ Tucker. The NBA journeyman is still known as the league’s authority on all things sneakers, with a jaw-dropping collection of limited and player edition colorways. Some are so rare that even the players they were originally meant for haven’t seen them. Tucker played for the Knicks last year and is currently a free agent, but now we’ve got a look at a couple of Nike Book 1 PEs in blue and white that would have matched perfectly with his New York jerseys.

The Nike Book 1 Foamposite PE Pack takes a referential approach to Devin Booker’s first signature shoe, converting the Book 1 into Foamposites. The blue Book 1 “Playoffs Tucker P” PE is a clear reference to the International Blue Foamposite with its blue hue and carbon fiber print on the Swoosh. The blue leather upper gets black contrast on the lace panel and heel collar, with a sparkly blue midsole underfoot.

The white pair takes after the Foamposite 1 Penny PE, with a clean white leather upper and black carbon fiber print on the Swoosh, plus more black on the lace panel, ankle collar, and a semi-translucent black outsole. It could also be an homage to the Foamposite Pro Pearl, a pair that originally released in 1997 and will be returning in November this year.

Of course, like most of PJ Tucker’s collection, you can’t get these. The two pairs of Book 1 Foams were never released to the public, and hell, we’re not even sure if Devin Booker has these ones. With the Nike Book 2 on the way soon, we’re guessing PJ will find a way to get exclusive PEs.
