Devin Booker loves his toys. The Phoenix Suns superstar is living the dreams of everyone who’s ever thought about building a man cave. His, more like Bruce Wayne’s Bat Cave, is full of sneakers, memorabilia, a fleet of classic cars, a theater set up, and more. Included in Booker’s grown-up Hot Wheels collection are a handful of shiny Chevy Impalas without a speck of dust on them. One of Booker’s favorite cars, the Impala is also the inspiration behind his latest Book 1 PE.
The Nike Book 1 Impala PE is a maroon patent leather masterpiece with a full coat of candy apple red covering the shoes, a pebbled grey Swoosh, and a grey Impala deer logo on the lateral side panel. The shoes are as clean as Booker’s cars, with a shiny surface that nearly glows against the harsh NBA stadium lighting.
Booker’s Nike Book 1 is one of the longest-running NBA signature models currently available, with over thirty inline colorways, a handful of collabs, PEs galore, and even a What The colorway of the shoe. We haven’t seen any official photos of the follow-up Nike Book 2, but we have seen Booker training in a pair of blurred-out shoes, so we’re hopeful that the signature sequel is coming soon.
Sadly, there’s no plan to make the Nike Book 1 Impala PE available to the public, so don’t get your gearhead hopes up. Luckily, though, there are still plenty of new Book 1 colorways dropping, so you can still lace up like your favorite Phoenix star.
