After two decades on the shelf, Nike brought back the nearly forgotten Baltoro boot this month in a three-pack of leather and suede-clad Stussy collab colorways. The 1990 boot was never a true cult favorite or legacy model, but after reintroducing the world to the silhouette with the help of a legacy streetwear brand, Beaverton is bringing the shoe back in full force.

The first inline release of the Baltoro retro is a three-pack of SP (Special Project) colorways for the cold months. There’s a triple-black colorway with gold hardware in the spirit of classic ACG Nike Boots, a beef & broccoli pair with deep blue accents on the toebox, Swoosh, and logos, plus a bright boot with a mix of green, purple, red, and orange.

Nike has only brought the Baltoro back one time since the 90s, before now, in 2005, and in that release, the brightly colored green, purple, red, and orange colorway was the star of the show, so after slipping the model back into circulation with Stussy, the callout to mid-2000s color blocking is a perfect way to ring in the hiking boot’s full-scale return.
