Nike and Foot Locker are heading into the jungle. The sportswear and sneaker retail goliaths aren’t turning to lions, tigers, and bears, though, instead adding amphibious all-over print to a new collection of exclusive lifestyle drops.
Forces and Air Maxes, Oh My
The Nike Animal Instinct Foot Locker Exclusive Collection features two pairs of Air Force 1 Lows and an Air Max 90, all with matching panels covered in all-over frog print. Switching up colorways between the pairs, the connecting tissue is the almost circular, indented animal-skin details.
On the Air Max 90, a metallic green mesh covers the toebox and ankle collar, with black nubuck on the toe and lace structure, orange on the Swoosh and tongue tag, and triple-black frog print on the mudguard. The adult-sized Air Force 1 matches the Air Max 90 in black and orange, with a black and grey animal print on the toe, lace, and heel panels. The rest of the upper switches to olive green, with orange on the Swoosh and tongue tag. A youth-sized Air Force 1 lightens up the pack in a black and khaki frog print with black accents on the branding.
