There’s no need to introduce Caitlin Clark, as the WNBA superstar has transcended the hardwood court of the W to become one of the faces of the sport globally. And with that came a Nike signature shoe, but there’s plenty still more ground for Clark to break as she just signed a first-of-its-kind partnership with DICK’S Sporting Goods and Foot Locker.
Caitlin Clark’s New Partnership with DICK’S and Foot Locker
The exclusive multi-year partnership between Caitlin Clark, DICK’S, and Foot Locker marks the first time either retail giant has signed an athlete as a brand partner, with the deal set to include several promotional experiences. This includes custom promotion to support the Nike Caitlin 1 and, eventually, the Caitlin 2, as well as apparel and other product lines. There are also national and global campaigns, retail and digital experiences, fan activations, appearances, and community programming.
“DICK’S Sporting Goods was always a stop before the start of any sports season when I was growing up,” said Clark. “Being the first ever brand partner for both them and Foot Locker is a really special full-circle moment.”
Emily Silver, Chief Marketing, eCommerce & Athlete Experience Officer, DICK’S, also expressed enthusiasm for Clark, stating: “Caitlin has had an extraordinary impact on the game of basketball, not only through her talent and star power, but through the countless young girls and boys she has inspired to play the sports that they love, stay in the game and become fans of sport.”

Expect to see plenty of DICK’S and Foot Locker exclusive releases from Caitlin Clark’s Nike line and for Clark to star in promotional material for the two retailers.
