Caitlin Clark had a first of the month full of mixed emotions yesterday. Starting the day with the release of her Nike Caitlin 1 signature sneaker, the two debut colorways sold out immediately and were restocked throughout the day, with Nike CEO Elliot Hill calling it the biggest signature sneaker drop in the brand’s history by 5 o’clock.
By the time the night was over, though, Clark was on vacation, with her Indiana Fever taking a first-round playoff loss to A’ja Wilson and the reigning champ Aces. Caitlin doesn’t take time off, though, and she’s already back in the lab with Nike working on a signature sequel.

“And we are already cookin on the 2,” Caitlin commented on Nethongkome’s post. We’ve already seen plenty of upcoming colorways of the Caitlin 1, but considering the shoe just dropped for the first time yesterday, the existence of Caitlin 2 design meetings is a quicker turnaround than any of us expected. Considering Caitlin’s 22 jersey number and the 2s covering the Opticast upper of the Caitlin 1, we’re guessing Clark and the design team are paying extra close attention to her second silhouette.

The Nike Caitlin 1 is available now through Nike and select retailers in-store and online, with new colorways set to drop frequently through the end of the year and into 2027.
