LeBron James’ first signature sneaker with The Swoosh returns in a classic “White Black Red” rendition.
Signature silhouettes in the athletic scene, especially the NBA, are few and far between with most brands only hosting a handful of athletes that receive their very own sneaker model. Holding down Nike’s roster for 20 years now, LeBron James’ signature series has a rich history and began with the Nike Air Zoom Generation way back in 2003, however, the model rarely sees a retro release… until now. For its first return since 2018, Nike is celebrating 20 years since the model's inception. Already revealed in a “1st Game” colorway, the classic color scheme of “White Black Red” is also headed our way.
Mixtures of tumbled and smooth leather as well as mesh take over the upper with the majority of the sneaker coming in a stark white shade. This colorless build is found on the mudguard, toebox, eyestays, midfoot, and tongue with the latter of the five hosting LeBron branding in the form of his staple Crown logo. Working to the top of the tongue, you’ll find our first hit of accenting red which continues onto the piping of the white Swoosh and back on the heel counter. Allowing both of these red hits to shine is black mesh along the midfoot and a black TPU heel counter. Underfoot, a two-tone white and black midsole gets paired with a tri-color rubber outsole which completes the look.
The Nike Air Zoom Generation White Black Red is set to release Summer 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $190.
