The '80s classic has never looked cleaner.
2023 is set to be pretty big for sneakers, not only for releases in the future, but silhouettes of the past as well. In case you didn't already know, this year marks the Air Pegasus line's 40th birthday, and to celebrate this huge milestone, the Beaverton-based sportswear company has been bringing back some of the most iconic colorways of all-time. With the "Black," "Racer Blue," "Swan," and "Wolf Grey" all officially returning, we're now taking our first look at the Nike Air Pegasus 89 "Summit White Hemp." One of the cleanest colorways to ever grace the '80s classic, make sure you keep reading to find out everything that we know so far.
Working on top of a crisp summit white mesh base, light orewood brown and hemp-hued suede panels wrap around the rest of the upper for a subtly contrasted look that is sure to turn heads. A black leather Swoosh swings low across the sidewalls, just like the original, and underfoot you'll spot a clean white Air midsole that's still as comfortable as it gets. To round it all off, Air Pegasus 89 branding is finely stitched across the tongue tag, placing the finishing touches on the OG design.
While you'd expect a colorway like the Nike Air Pegasus 89 Summit White Hemp to drop over the Spring and Summer months, it's actually scheduled to release sometime in Fall 2023. Better late than never though, right? Set to launch at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers globally, retail is set at $110. More colorways are expected to be revealed very soon, so keep it locked at our Twitter and Mobile App to find out everything that you need to know.
