Often spotted on the feet of Scottie Pippen, the Nike Air More Uptempo transitioned from the hardwood court into a fashion staple in the wardrobe of millions, however, just like the man who is most often associated with the silhouette it seems the Uptempo is entering a new era in its life. We first saw looks at the all-new Nike Air More Uptempo Slide last summer that will have you ready to be a grill master and cross up your nephews at the family BBQ all at once, and now we have more colors on the way like the “Black Multi-Color Sanddrift.”
Taking on the traditional construction of a slide mixed with the sole and parts of the upper from the Air More Uptempo, the slip-on footwear features a black nubuck forefoot strap with the iconic “AIR” text still present. Piping the border of the letters is a multi-color nubuck that transitions from purple shades on the “A” to a deeper blue on the “R” while the rest of the nubuck comes with a single shade of black. Embroidered in the center of the strap is a Nike Swoosh in a similar black hue while another Swoosh detail is located on the textured footbed. Underfoot sits an Air More Uptempo midsole in sanddrift with visible Air units seen all throughout. Rounding out the design is the rubber outsole with the same traction pattern found on the standard version of the Air More Uptempo.
The Nike Air More Uptempo Slide Black Multi-Color Sanddrift is set to release Summer 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
