The Air More Uptempo has stood the test of time and is one of Nike's most iconic '90s basketball designs. This year, The Swoosh revisits the bold silhouette, introducing a clean black and white variant with slightly different color-blocking than the OG.
Aesthetically, the sneaker gets its sharp appeal from a black nubuck and mesh upper with white accents. A white Nike Swoosh sits prominently on the black nubuck toe box, providing a stark contrast. Following the distinct Uptempo design language, the silhouette features an "AIR" overlay along the profile in black nubuck. Unlike the standard black/white colorway, which pipes the edges of the letters, this pair places large leather panels below. A jewel Swoosh on the heel gets a slick black finish, and the black theme extends to the laces, tongue, sockliner, and insole. Tying together the design, the sneaker features a black midsole punctuated with visible Air units and grounded by a black outsole.
The Nike Air More Uptempo Black White will release this fall through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
