This Nike Air More Uptempo Is The King Of The Jungle

Over the past few years, Nike has slowly been bringing back the classic More Uptempo silhouette in a slew of understated colorways. While we have definitely seen some pretty crazy versions (we’re looking at you, Air More Uptempo Slide), we’ve never seen anything quite like the Nike Air More Uptempo "Animal." For this upcoming colorway, NSW gives the retro sneaker a wild makeover.

Working on top of a white leather base, an accompanied sail Air midsole underfoot has been accented with vibrant orange hues. Black pebbled leather dresses the tongue, complemented with black rope laces that tie everything together. Now, we need to talk about the elephant in the room (pun intended), which is the Air More Uptempo’s signature oversized “AIR” branding that’s slapped on the lateral and medial sides. Done up in crocodile, leopard, and zebra patterns, the design harkens back to iconic releases like the Air Jordan 3 Retro “Animal Instinct” from 2019. This is all finished off with a glossy Swoosh that’s embedded around the heel, finalizing the design.
