Air Max Day is done for the year, but as we’ve seen over the past year plus, Nike’s Air Max 95 obsession is not restricted to any anniversary or holiday celebration. Keeping the big bubble love going, Nike is rolling out the return of the OG Air Max 95 Comet, starting with an exclusive drop in Japan from Tokyo’s most famous sneaker boutique.

The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Comet has been on our radar for a retro release since last summer, and now, we’re just a week away from the shoe’s 2026 debut. Instead of an initial SNKRS release, though, the ‘95 classic is taking a world tour, with a first stop at atmos in Tokyo.

Featuring the same color combo as its 31-year-old inspiration, the Comet features a white leather T-toe and bottom side panel wave that rises in gradient fashion through two shades of grey before landing on soft black before reaching a white mesh panel and jersey mesh tongue. Comet red accents complete the look on the lace loops, tongue label, and mini Swoosh at the lateral heel.
