Nike and Zellerfeld Continue Their Rapid-Fire Air Max 1000.2 Releases in Glacier Blue

The Nike Air Max 1000 was a major step in 3D-printed sneakers, adding multiple textures and a built-in Air bubble to the one-piece silhouette. The slip-on model was the first 3D-printed pair worthy of the prestigious Air Max name, and for the 1000.2 version, Nike kept the silhouette intact, but upped the pace of printing.

Printing New Glaciers

The Nike Air Max 1000.2 Glacier Blue is the latest colorway from Nike and Zellerfeld’s version 2 collection, staying true to the sped-up drops promised from the production changes announced for V2. This time, Nike keeps the triple-black upper, shifting the Air bubble in the heel to a glacial blue shade that glows like pristine Alaskan waters.

When announcing the new version of the silhouette earlier this year, Nike compared the 3D-printed shoe to updating your phone’s software to a new OS. “Just like software, the design continues to evolve with each iteration, where every release acts as an update, refining the product through continuous improvements to geometry, performance, and print efficiency,” Nike said.
