Get Spicy This Nike Air Force 1 Low Anniversary
Updated on •PublishedAfter 40 years on the market, the Nike Air Force 1 Low has maintained its status as a fashion statement, whether you rock them squeaky clean or cooked. Plenty of colorways have emerged denoting the silhouette's 40 year Anniversary, from retro’s of classics like the West Indies or new colorways paying homage to Los Angeles, though the latest to appear gets a little spicy with the Nike Air Force 1 Low Anniversary Edition taking on a “Chili” colorway.
Utilizing a mixture of leather and suede across the upper, the sneaker takes on shades of reds, greens, and beige throughout. On the toebox, midfoot panel, and heel tab, a gradient-like orange to red suede takes over in a shade similar to that on a red chili pepper, though it comes accented by beige leather panels on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel. Tonal laces match the eyestays with the tongue tag above adding golden “Anniversary Edition” text to its standard Nike Air Force 1 branding. The sockliner and insole come in green, acting as the green stem one would find on an actual pepper. Speaking of peppers, an embroidered one appears on the lateral side of the heel, placed just below the tail end of the tan Nike Swoosh. Underfoot, the midsole features red paint at its top, slightly spilling over in a customized appearance. Rounding out the look is the gum rubber outsole
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Anniversary Edition Chili is slated to release in overseas in November 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. A wider release stateside is to follow in December. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $150.
