Let’s take it back to 2001. Jay-Z dropped The Blueprint, Apple dropped the very first iPods and released the first version of iTunes, and Microsoft introduced Windows XP to the globe. This is also the year Nike changed the shape of the Air Force 1 Low, with this slimmer and more athletic-looking version of the sneaker only staying on the market until 2007.

The ‘07 version of the AF1 is what you’re probably used to today, as it’s been the flagship Air Force 1 for nearly 20 years now, but Nike has finally revived this older (and much preferred) shape with the Air Force 1 Low ‘01. It started with an exclusive NIGO collab and just appeared via a pre-order-exclusive AF1 Low ‘01 to celebrate the Knicks, but now we have an official look at the sneaker in all its triple white glory.

Keeping up the heritage of the triple white Air Force 1 Low, this ‘01 version of the AF1 features the same white leather construction we’ve all become accustomed to from this staple silhouette. However, the real selling point here is the refined shape that is nearly identical to AF1 releases from 2001. The toebox is much slimmer, and the overall shoe is less bulky. The Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘01 Triple White will be released during the Fall 2026 season (July-September) via Nike and select retailers. Retail is set at $135. The shoe is also expected to continually restock and re-release over the following seasons, so don’t worry if you miss out on the first drop.
