It feels like forever ago, but in September 2015, a viral video taken in the New York City subway system spread like wildfire and turned one unsuspecting rodent into the biggest rat-tailed culinary celebrity since Ratatouille. Now, more than a decade later, Nike is paying tribute to Pizza Rat with a hairy suede colorway of the revived Nike Air Force 1 ‘01 complete with a pink rat tail heel tab that matches the see-through pink outsole and a pair of alternate laces. Amidst a collection of collab pairs of the Air Force 1 ‘01 shape, the Subway Rat pair is part of a two-pair inline rat pack that doesn’t skimp on the storytelling.
