Harsh winter months are fast approaching, and that means swapping into footwear that can withstand the inclement conditions. Maybe you don’t have that problem if you’re in a tropical climate, but for many sneakerheads, you’ve got to say goodbye to kicks like the Nike Air Force 1 in favor of rugged boots and Gore-Tex-covered footwear. But instead of tossing your Forces into the back of the closet or garage, Nike has created a version of the iconic Bruce Kilgore design that is perfect for the winter months. The new Vibram Gore-Tex AF1 has already been spotted in Triple White and Clay Green, but now a menacing Triple Black version has appeared.

Nike swaps out the traditional synthetic leather build for a more durable Gore-Tex-coated tumbled leather. Other changes were necessary to preserve the weather-resistant properties of the Gore-Tex material, such as the perforations on the toebox now used as an aesthetic instead of ventilation, and the ballistic mesh on the tongue.

All of this, alongside the lace set, Gore-Tex and AF1-branded lace dubraes, and sockliner is coated in a single black hue. Down below sits a black rubber midsole with AIR text on the heel that rests above a yellow Vibram tag. The outsole company uses its advanced tech to make the AF1 a better option on wet and rugged surfaces, also applying its logo in the center of the outsole.

As mentioned above, the Air Force 1 Gore-Tex Vibram has appeared in two different colorways for the Holiday 2025 season and is expected to get more makeovers throughout 2026. This isn’t the first time Nike applied Gore-Tex materials to the AF1, but it does mark the first time Gore-Tex and Vibram technologies have been used together on the ‘80s basketball silhouette.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low Gore-Tex Vibram Black will be released Holiday 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
