Deion Sanders’ Nike line is in the middle of a retro renaissance. Pushed by his status on the sidelines at the University of Colorado and his son Shadeur’s heavily publicized rookie year in the NFL, Prime Time is once again, well, prime time, and Nike is cashing in with a retro run of the Nike Diamond Turf line, including the iconic Diamond Turf 2 and the DT Max ‘96.
The latest colorway of the Nike DT Max ‘96 crosstrainer set for a 2026 release is a classic black and white pair with gold accents, but for the first time ever it’s getting cut down to a low-top. On top of the men’s pairs we already reported on last year, it turns out the kids will get a shot at this colorway as well. For kids who love the Nike Ja 3, with its animal scratch paneling, the clawed up paneling of the DT Max ‘96 should be a familiar sight in retro packaging.
