Archival Nike ACG silhouettes have become a common sight among fashion circles, but their modern performance offerings are just as strong. After debuting the outdoor-focused subdivision’s new roster of athletes under the All Conditions Racing Department, Nike ACG has just revealed its latest innovation in performance trail running with the ACG Ultrafly.

To ensure the model could withstand the tough and tumultuous terrain of the great outdoors, Nike ACG developed the silhouette over 13 rounds of testing and over 30,000 miles of wear. The label has described it as a “trail-tuned super shoe engineered for optimal performance and agility in the most demanding environments,” and the tech within backs this claim.

A full-length ZoomX foam midsole is paired with a carbon fiber FlyPlate for propulsion and a responsive ride, while the ZoomX foam insole adds an extra level of impact protection. The foam is also exposed to allow the midsole to morph as needed to fully respond to terrain. As for the FlyPlate, it’s been redesigned to be less rigid than the standard Nike Ultrafly, using a spine split that allows it to flex over rocks, roots, and difficult terrain. Finishing the model is the Vibram Lightbase outsole and the breathable mesh upper.

“From the beginning, the Nike ACG Ultrafly was developed in lockstep with our Nike athletes who desired a trail-tuned super shoe,” says Brenden McAleese, Director, Nike ACG Footwear. “They pushed us to rethink what fit, form and feel could be for a trail shoe, and every design decision was informed by their feedback and validated in the wild.

The Nike ACG Ultrafly will debut Spring 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price has not yet been revealed.
