There was a long period of time where it seemed that Ye, FKA Kanye West, was going to be forever banished from the fashion industry. Sure, his independent Yeezy line had its core fanbase, and his cult following would continue to buy products with his name on it, but surely no major company wanted to touch him with a 10-foot pole, right?

Fast forward three years from his meltdown, and Ye is selling out stadiums across the globe and has now partnered with JD Sports to relaunch Yeezy Slides and footwear in stores and online via the retailer’s website. Just as the nationwide rollout for his first retail partnership in years begins, Ye has again teased us with new Yeezy sneakers on Instagram.

New Yeezy 800 Colorways

Ye posted four new Instagram stories today, each showcasing a new colorway of the next Yeezy sneaker, the Yeezy 800, a model he’s been wearing for months. While the first photos of the Yeezy 800 showed an all-black build, this new set features a mixture of pastel colors, a palette that hasn’t been in the Yeezy design book for quite some time now.

One pair is done in a pale yellow and light grey color scheme with green on the sockliner, while another uses the same yellow but adds minty green to the base. Another two-pack of colors uses blue hues, one in an icy blue with pops of sky blue and mint green, and another with more muted blues and mixtures of teal and yellow. Thankfully, the Yeezy 800 features layered panels and different materials, allowing for more designs compared to the one-piece foam slip-ons that have been prevalent from the Yeezy brand.

As of now, there’s no confirmed release info for the Yeezy 800. Ye first teased other models on Instagram, but they wouldn’t hit retail for months. However, Yeezy partnering with JD Sports, perhaps the supply chain and timeline for new models to hit retail have been streamlined. When the 800 does release, expect a drop on Yeezy’s website and JD Sports.
