After seeing massive success on its comeback, the New Balance 550 has maintained its popularity for the last year with colorways selling out almost instantly when new releases go down, likely due to its similarities to the Nike Dunk Low. Now on the verge of the Panda Dunk restocking once again, NB is joining in on the fun as their "White Black" colorway on the 550 that was released back in 2021 is getting a restock.
Covered in leather across the majority of its upper, white and black shades make this one of the most wearable colors the silhouette has seen to date. Typical details remain with perforated leather landing on the toebox, and along the bottommost eyestay that hosts “550” text in black while further branding details like the quarter panel’s “N” gets a white finish with black trim. White-on-white shades make their way to the tongue and lace set with the basketball graphic atop the tongue getting both black and white shades. Back on the collar, black mesh wraps around the heel and bleeds into the sockliner and insole, providing contrast to the white leather found on the heel overlay. Underfoot, a white midsole with “NB” and “New Balance” branding details gets paired with a two-tone black and white non-marking rubber outsole.
The New Balance 550 White Black is set to restock on September 15th, 2022 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
