Thinking of New Balance may immediately conjure up images of "dad shoes" and chunky orthopedic sneakers, but the brand has leaned into the current trend of mesh runners well. On top of this, the brand is looking toward the future with models like the WRPD Runner. Recently spotted in a Snakeskin colorway and awaiting the release of the Auralee colorways, the WRPD Runner is getting two new colorways this April: a Dusted Grape and the already-revealed Light Chrome Blue.
The New Balance WRPD Runner Dusted Grape boasts a captivating blend of dusted grape and black hues, accented with strategic white details that elevate its overall appearance. The upper features a combination of suede and mesh materials, where the suede overlays around the mudguard, midfoot, and heel are adorned in a dusted grape color, providing a sophisticated touch to the design. The black mesh base is a stark contrast, enhancing the visual appeal of the sneaker.
White accents are strategically placed on the heel tab, sockliner, and embroidered N logo, adding depth and dimension to the design. The sneaker is finished with a dual-toned grey foam midsole incorporating FuelCell technology for optimal comfort and performance, complemented by a black and grey rubber outsole for durability and traction.
The New Balance WRPD Runner Dusted Grape will release on April 1, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the sneaker will carry a retail price of $150. Ensure you stay updated on this release and more by downloading the Sole Retriever mobile app.
