As Paris Fashion Week unfolds, sneakerheads are turning their attention to the runway for collaborations pairing high fashion labels sith footwear brands. Helping debut the New Balance Warped Runner, Japanese fashion label Auralee presented the model in two colorways as part of its Spring/Summer 2024 show. The partnership follows successful collaborations including versions of the New Balance 550 and 2002R.
New Balance's Warped Runner stands out for an organically shaped, minimalist upper with a futuristic aesthetic. A mesh layer forms the base with circular panels appearing at the toe, eyelets, midfoot, collar, and heel beneath suede overlays. A distinctive "N" logo sits on the midfoot, while co-branded details are expected to adorn the insole. Complementing the upper is a chunky, molded FuelCell foam midsole utilizing NB's latest cushioning tech for comfort. The colorways shown maintain Auralee's tradition of monochromatic palettes seen in previous collaborations with options of sleek black or tan.
The Auralee x New Balance Warped Runner will release in the Spring/Summer 2024 season through Auralee and select retailers online and in-store.
