New Balance, renowned for its time-tested classics and evergreen footwear designs, has consistently pushed boundaries with innovative silhouettes. The Warped Runner is a testament to this, representing a departure from the brand's traditional designs and stepping boldly into futuristic aesthetics. While there has been only one US release with the White Beige and a few overseas exclusives, including Green Black and Black Blue, a new rendition has just appeared in greyscale.
The upcoming New Balance Warped Runner Grey is a symphony of contrasts, and unlike the previewed Auralee collab, it doesn't come in monochrome. It boasts light grey suede panels that beautifully complement the darker grey mesh sections. These mesh portions reveal themselves prominently along the midfoot, collar, and heel, adding depth and texture to the design. In a subtle cream tone, the laces enhance the sleek look of the sneaker, mirroring the embroidered "N" logo on the midfoot. A dark grey suede patch is on the heel tab, venturing outside the lighter realm. Grounding the design is the chunky FuelCell-cushioned midsole, offering aesthetics and comfort. This is combined with a black and grey wavy rubber outsole, providing a strong visual element and dependable traction.
The New Balance Warped Runner Grey will release Holiday 2023 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
