New Balance's strategy of reinvigorating its archives with a modern twist continues to pay dividends, captivating sneaker enthusiasts and collectors alike. The brand's resurgence, marked by a notable 22% increase in sales, owes much of its success to the relaunch of classic silhouettes like the 550, 650, 2002R, and 1906R that have been brought back to life with contemporary flair. Among these revived legends is the New Balance T500, a silhouette that returned to the spotlight following a celebrated collaboration with Aime Leon Dore. The latest iteration to grace this lineage is the T500 Reflection, the first inline release since the model's return.
The T500 Reflection emerges as a beacon of heritage and craftsmanship, featuring a composition that blends premium pigskin suede with soft nubuck materials. This model honors the traditional aesthetics of performance tennis footwear while embracing a minimalist design philosophy. The upper's meticulously placed perforations enhance breathability and underscore the sneaker's timeless appeal.
A subtle arctic grey accent adorns the heel tab, adorned with New Balance's emblem, providing a discreet yet distinctive touch of contrast. The brand's iconic N logo adorns the midfoot, complemented by additional NB branding on the insole and tongue tag, underscoring the meticulous attention to detail that New Balance is renowned for. Everything comes finalized with a vintage-inspired rubber midsole and outsole.
The New Balance T500 Reflection will release on March 14, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
