It’s fashion week in New York City, so there’s no better time for a fresh look. New Balance has had a hell of a year blending new silhouettes, classic heat, and a deeper push into pro sports, so it’s only right that the Boston-based brand brought a little new life to the Big Apple.

A 2,200 square foot behemoth of a store smack dab in the middle of Manhattan’s Flatiron, the open concept store brings in as much natural light as possible to spotlight the intersection of sport and culture, blending specialty sections for running, technical clothing, and lifestyle shoes like the 99X and 2000s lines.

New Balance has always been known for its Beantown credentials, even with a beloved Made in UK line coming out of the company’s Flimby factory. But as the brand pushed further into the cultural forefront and hired Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis as Made in USA creative director, New Balance’s NYC credentials grew, and the reimagined flagship store is yet another point of dedication to America’s sneaker capital.

We haven’t heard word of any NYC exclusives to celebrate the new space, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see some in the future.
