Kawhi Leonard Debuted his Fifth New Balance Signature Shoe at NBA All-Star Weekend

Kawhi Leonard is quietly having one of the best seasons of his career. The two-time Finals MVP winner has been mired in controversy all year, thanks to an ongoing investigation into whether or not the Clippers broke salary cap rules in an effort to pay Leonard, but after early-season struggles for the Clippers, the team is heading out of the All-Star break on a hot streak with The Klaw firing on all cylinders.

Adding more fuel to Kawhi’s dominant season, New Balance is adding another silhouette to Leonard's signature line with the New Balance Kawhi 5. Leonard debuted the new model on-court during All-Star Weekend in a light blue and white colorway, followed by a look at two more pairs in navy blue and olive green.

Playing into Kawhi’s quiet personality, the New Balance Kawhi 5 is a simple but effective design that continues the aesthetic language of the NB Kawhi line. A mix of mesh, synthetic, and leather blends across the upper, with the toebox coming to a point in front of a small perforated vamp, and a side panel N logo hugging the lace panel. A reinforced heel adds extra stabilization.

So far, we don’t have a release date or retail price set on the New Balance Kawhi 5, but we’ll be watching Clippers games to see if The Klaw debuts any new colorways while we wait for more info.
