The New Balance 996, a model synonymous with quality and craftsmanship, has been reimagined by Teddy Santis, the visionary behind Aime Leon Dore and the head of New Balance's Made in USA line. This holiday season, the sneaker world is set to welcome the Crimson Black colorway of the 996 Made in USA, part of Teddy Santis’ Made in USA Season 4 collection. Alongside this pair are two new colorways of the 990v4, one Teal White and a Mahogany Black.
This latest iteration of the 996 is a striking example of New Balance's commitment to premium materials and attention to detail. The sneaker boasts a luxurious all-leather construction, with rich red tones enveloping the silhouette. Contrast is beautifully achieved with white accents adorning the iconic "N" logo and tongue tag. Black elements gracefully appear on the sockliner and heel tab, adding depth to the design. The sneaker is underpinned by a white and cream foam midsole, which harmonizes with a black and white rubber outsole, ensuring comfort and durability.
The New Balance 996 Made in USA Crimson Black will release on November 30, 2023, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, it is priced at $220.
