New Balance continues to make waves in the sneaker world, with the Boston-based brand bringing back “dead” silhouettes from the archives. This is best exemplified with pairs like the 550, 2002R — and, more recently, the New Balance 580. Joining the 550 in the “pre-worn” look, the New Balance 580 “Grey Blue” has just appeared.
Grey leather appears "worn away" on the mudguard, midfoot, and heel while contrasting with the darker grey found on the mesh toebox, tongue, and collar. A white lace set complements the white New Balance 580 tongue tag, which showcases blue and red branding details. The midfoot's "N" logo is given a silver 3M reflective finish, while the nearby TPU overlay is presented in a blueish-grey tone. The heel tab, crafted from worn-down blue suede, displays New Balance branding in white. A creamy midsole with a worn-down blue ROLLBAR in the heel provides optimal support, while the blue outsole beneath help deliver the vontage look.
The New Balance 580 Grey Blue will release this month through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
