The 550 has actually been around for almost four decades now, and throughout this time, its design has pretty much remained unchanged. Crafted from panels of smooth white leather, accents of navy grace the heel and highlight the “N” logo. Deep maroon hues decorate the tongue tag and midsole, adding a further pop of contrast to the otherwise understated basketball shoe. To round it all off, New Balance’s retro logo is finely printed around the heel, paying homage to the silhouette’s vintage roots.
