Whether you hate to love it or love to hate it, there's no doubt in anyone's mind that the "Panda" colorway has completely dominated the sneaker game. For better or for worse, the monochromatic makeover has taken on silhouettes like the Air Force 1, the Dunk Low, and even the 350 V2, and now, Boston's very own New Balance is getting a piece of the panda pie with its upcoming New Balance 550 "Panda."
Boasting a crisp white leather base, perforated paneling across the sides give the 550 that retro look that we all know and love. The "N" logos on the laterals and medials are highlighted with a black outline, and this is complemented by full suede elements across the toe box and heel. A dark charcoal heel counter adds comfort and support with every step, and you'll find an off-white midsole underfoot for a vintage vibe. To round it all off, a basketball graphic decorates the tongue in a light grey, going back to the '80s sneaker's hardcourt roots.
The New Balance 550 Panda Black White is set to release in 2022 in men's sizes. Retail is set at $110, and this should be available at New Balance and select retailers online and in-store worldwide. More colorways are expected to drop very soon, so make sure that you keep it locked on Sole Retriever's Twitter andMobile App for more info as it comes through.
