New Balance is certainly no stranger when it comes to experimenting with new materials. While the Boston-based sportswear giant is renowned for its premium leather, nubuck, and suede constructions, it's now ready to try something new with the upcoming New Balance 550 Canvas "Brown." Covering the '80s basketball shoe in the hard-wearing fabric, here's everything that you need to know about this upcoming colorway.
Arriving in an earthy palette, this NB 550 is crafted from canvas from heel to toe. Primarily painted in a dark brown hue, khaki accents feature on the toe box and heel, while the collar is dipped in a light blue tone that will no doubt turn heads. Dark olive laces tie everything together, and underfoot, the green midsole has been decorated with a speckled pattern that adds depth to the design. While New Balance have definitely tried its best to steer away from leather for this colorway, they've added just a tiny bit on the "N" logo just for that premium look and feel that we all know and love.
The New Balance 550 Canvas Brown is set to release in 2022 in men's sizes for $110. Expected to be available via New Balance and select retailers online and in-store worldwide, you definitely don't want to miss out. More colorways are expected to launch very soon, so make sure that you keep it locked on Sole Retriever's Twitter andMobile App for your best chance to cop!
