The mfpen x New Balance 991v1 Made in UK is Limited to 90 Pairs

For its 10th anniversary, Copenhagen-based fashion label mfpen is going to the pavement with New Balance. Teaming up with the Boston-based shoe brand for at least two collab colorways, one made in the US and the other constructed in the UK, the mfpen collab collection kicks off this week with a 991v1.

From Scrap to Exclusive

The mfpen x New Balance 991v1 Made in UK popped up on our radar earlier this week with a steel-cut “N” logo preview posted to Instagram without the actual shoe. Now, with the shoe’s release in just two days, the CPH brand is ready to get the hype started in earnest, dropping an editorial shoot to show off the grey scrap leather collab. Made from limited material, the pair will arrive in only 90 pairs worldwide.

Paired with a plain T-shirt, black jeans, and a brown sport coat in a photo shoot staged at a coffee shop, the mfpen collab pair stays true to New Balance’s grey history, covering the pair with a mix of soft steel shades. Built from surplus leather from the New Balance Made in UK factory in Flimby, England, the pair is a perfect take on the brand’s history, heritage, and future.

The mfpen x New Balance 991v1 Made in UK will be released September 3, 2026, through in-store activations at mfpen and Dover Street Market London.
