Meet the Mercedes AMG x adidas Consortium collection – the latest drop from the German automotive brand and the German sportswear giant. Featuring four sneakers across three silhouettes, if you’re a fan of both the Three-Pointed Star and the Three Stripes, this collab was built for you.
Let’s start with the Mercedes AMG x adidas ZX8500. Revealed in Grey Black and Black Red color combos, this marks only the second time the model has surfaced since 2021’s Overkill release.
Basically, it’s a hybrid between the ZX8000 and ZX9000, fusing the two into a shoe that feels both old and new at once. For this AMG edition, it’s constructed on a carbon-fiber-esque base, while suede panels wrap the toebox and lacing system. The world-famous TPU heel counter locks down the back, and EVA midsoles with adidas’ Torsion tech keep comfort levels seriously high.
The pack also includes the Adistar Control 5 and the Megaride. The former is engineered from airy mesh for maximum breathability, while the latter rides on its legendary open-tunnel sole for peak cushioning. Whichever pair you pick, you’re getting a sneaker decked out in co-branded details, special Consortium insoles, and limited edition packaging made exclusively for this collection.
