High fashion and sportswear have found common ground in the last few years with brands from each industry teaming up to elevate some of the most iconic sneakers on the market. While LV and Dior have secured their spot with Nike and Gucci and Balenciaga stick with adidas, MCM is teaming up with Puma. Already releasing the first part of their three-piece collection, the “Show Love” colorway, now it's time to “Show Up” on the Puma Slipstream Lo.
Keeping things simple for this luxury-infused basketball sneaker, the premium leather upper comes in a simple black/white combo across its underlays and overlays. Around the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlays sit black leather while white makes up the underlay. Clashing shades of black and white appear on the tongue and lace set respectively with the top of the tongue featuring a silver “MCM” branded plate. Running from the black heel tab to the midfoot is an MCM Cubic Monogram print-covered formstrip, adding even more luxury flair to the collaborative pair. More white shades come via the split-branded heel tab and on the sockliner, though the insole nearby gets a multi-color makeover with co-branded details. Rounding out the design is an aged rubber midsole paired with a black rubber outsole.
The MCM x Puma Slipstream Lo Show Up is set to release via MCM online and in-store on October 6th, 2022 while a wider release through Puma and select retailers will go down on October 8th. Releasing in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $500. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more.
