If you’re like us, your social media feed was inundated with Timothée Chalamet on a “leaked” A24 marketing meeting yelling “SCHAWP,” the actor on top of The Sphere in Las Vegas, or the slew of athletes and celebrities with the now iconic Marty Supreme windbreaker. The apparel item, worn by the likes of Kid Cudi, Anthony Edwards, Frank Ocean, Jayden Daniels, Justin and Hailey Bieber, and more, was produced by Nahmias, the high-end clothing brand that has previously worked with A24 on merch for other films. Founder Doni Nahmias recently took to his Instagram Story to share a 1-of-1 custom Puma Suede inspired by Marty Supreme.
The upper is mostly covered in clean cream suede, with a pink crocheted Puma Formstrip contrasting the lighter tones that surround it. Orange and pink rope laces, the former a clear nod to the orange shade used for the Marty Supreme ping-pong balls, match the orange Marty Supreme logo on the tongue and the silhouette of Marty Mauser running down the crowded ‘50s New York City streets. In the actual scene where he flees his mother's apartment, Timmy decided to rock a pair of Salomons, much better than some stiff brown Mary Janes or wing-tipped shoes that Odessa A’Zion’s character Rachel left behind at Marty’s uncle’s shoe store.
These Puma Suedes inspired by Marty Supreme are a 1-of-1 custom for Doni Nahmias, so don’t expect a public release. However, there’s still a chance that Nahmias drops the Marty Supreme jackets online, as demand is only increasing as the movie continues to prove its success at the box office and at award shows. Chalamet earned himself some hardware at the Critics' Choice Award for Best Actor, and the movie is expected to grab some more trophies throughout award season.
