Maharishi sure knows a thing or two on how to create a sell-out sneaker. Over the past nine months, the London-based streetwear label has teamed up with Reebok to work on everything from the Classic Leather to the Zig Kinetica 2.5. Now, it looks like the Hardy Blechman-helmed brand has its sights set on another sportswear giant as we take our very first look at the Maharishi x Mizuno Wave Rider 10 "Fire Phoenix." Marking the duo's first collaboration together, make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.
Maharishi's take on the Wave Rider 10 seems to harken back to its militaristic aesthetic, with olive and green suede and AIRmesh outfitting the chunky silhouette. The Japanese company's Runbird motif adorns the lateral and medial sidewalls, and this is overlaid by a fire phoenix print in white. Shifting your focus underfoot, the EVA midsole is dipped in a creamy hue, and it has been infused with VS-1 cushioning for unbeatable comfort with every step. This collab is then finished off with a glossy co-branded badge that's finely inlaid around the heel, finalizing the special edition colorway.
The Maharishi x Mizuno Wave Rider 10 Fire Phoenix Green is expected to release on March 10th, 2023 via Maharishi, Reebok, and select retailers worldwide, both in-store and online. They will be available in men's sizes with a retail price that's yet TBA.
