Closer Look At The Louis Vuitton x Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low

During the Summer of 2021, Virgil Abloh debuted his last collection with Louis Vuitton and treated the world to a first look at the triple collab to end them all, Louis Vuitton x Off-White x Nike Air Force 1. Over twenty colorways were shown off ranging in color and construction, some featuring the famed LV monogram print and leather used on their trunks. After his tragic passing, many were left wondering what was to become of this uber-hyped collab.
As we approach the launch of the Spring-Summer 2022 collection from Louis Vuitton in February, pairs of these coveted Air Force 1s have begun to surface. Seen in a premium blue and orange leather upper with debossed LV monogram print, Virgil’s signature touch can be seen throughout. Over-stitching on the white Nike swoosh, “Lacet” written on the shoelaces, and misplaced tongue tag all point to Virgil’s Off-White design language of deconstructed prototypes. Other Off-White features include the brand's famous Helvetica font with “Louis Vuitton for Nike” placed underneath the medial Nike Swoosh. Down on the midsole, AIR written in quotes above the usual Air branding in Helvetica is also present. With an outsole color-matched to the upper, both of these colorways scream “Virgil Was Here”.
Originally rumored to release at the end of 2021, the tragic passing of the legendary designer Virgil Abloh pushed this collection into 2022. Nothing is set in stone yet, but with early pairs making the rounds online a release should be expected in the coming months. Expected to retail for $2,000, the Louis Vuitton x Off-White x Air Force 1 Low collection will be released exclusively through Louis Vuitton.
